Larry
Bowie, PQS, President, CEO.
Larry
has over thirty years of experience running his own company
in the exterior building restoration field serving the Greater
Toronto and Golden Horseshoe area of Ontario. He is involved
with all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the business.
His
past industrial accomplishments include being a founding director
of the Caulking Contractors Association of Ontario (CCAO) and
held the presidency position twice. Larry was chairperson of
numerous CCAO teams; most notably, the specification, warranty
& maintenance committees. He contributed in the publication
of CGSB 51-GP-42MP a "Handbook on Insulating Homes for
Energy Conservation".
Larry
currently is a registered "Professional Quantity Surveyor"
in good standing with both the "Canadian Institute of Quantity
Surveyors" and the "Ontario Institute of Quantity
Surveyors". He is also a "Canadian General Standards
Board Senior Estimator".
Larry
continues to represent Bowie Contracting at many associations.
Craig
Bowie, CEC, Vice President
Craig
became an integral part of the team in
the early 90's and has experience in all aspects of the business.
He began working in the field operations apprenticing in every
trade Bowie Contracting does. After working his way up to Project
Supervisor, he was brought into the estimating department where
his hands-on experience has proven invaluable. His duties include
estimating, pricing, job costing, billing, scheduling of jobs
and co-ordination.
He
has completed the Construction Estimating program at George
Brown College of Applied Arts & Technology obtaining his
CEC.
Craig
is currently on the board of directors with the Building
and Concrete Association (B&CRAO) and a current board
member with Sealant and Waterproofing Association (SWAO)
and also a Past President of the SWAO. He is a past Director
of the Ontario Institute of Quantity Surveyors.
Lately
Craig finds himself on the soccer pitch almost every night.
If he is not playing soccer himself you can find him dedicating
many hours to The Whitchurch Stouffville Soccer Club, where
he is the Divisional Coach of the Under 5's.
Keith
Bowie, Production Manager, Vice President
2009
Marks Keiths 25th anniversary with Bowie Contracting. He started
as an apprentice and has worked his way up to Production Manager.
He wears many hats, from being responsible for managing all
field production staff, material, tool and equipment ordering,
inventory control to being the liaison with customers and Engineers/Architects.
He is responsible for not only getting the job done, but also
for getting it done on time and on budget! He also is a large
contributor to the estimating department.
Keith
has never asked an employee to do anything that he hasn't done
or wouldn't do himself. This has resulted in a very loyal and
dedicated workforce.
Keith
holds Certificates for Program Completion for the CSAO health
and safety education program for Suspended Access Equipment
and Suspended Access Equipment - Train the Trainer. He has taught
several "Basics of Fall Protection" courses to employees
as well as Sub Contractors, Engineers and Consultants.
Keith
currently sits on the Technical committee for the E.I.F.S. Council
of Canada as well as serving on the ULC 716.2 Standard
for Installation of Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems.
Kathy
Bowie, Office Administrator, Secretary/Treasurer
Kathy
has over thirty years of experience handling all aspects of
office administration. Her responsibilities include; weekly
payroll, accounts receivable/ payable, banking, bookkeeping
and is the company's liaison with the accountant, bank manager
and government.
Kathy is an integral part of job costing and job monitoring.
She is fundamental in producing inventory control and cash flow
reports.
Kevin
Dyke, Field Superintendent
Kevin
has over eighteen years of experience as a tradesman in construction
restoration and is an integral part of the field operations.
He
has evolved from journeyman status to Field Superintendent.
His responsibilities include supervision of on site personnel,
co-ordination with Production Management scheduling jobs, ordering
material and equipment as well as being the company's liaison
with the consulting engineer's on site representatives.
Ben
Adams, Project Manager / Site Supervisor
Ben
has been in construction management since 1998. Ben joined our
firm in December 2006 and is currently involved in project management,
supervised planning and scheduling, budget/cost control, contract,
quality control, and sub-contractor management.
Ben
is a graduate of George Brown College where he majored in Construction
Engineering Management Technologist. During his time at
George Brown, Ben, won the award for; Outstanding Professional
Conduct During the Bidding Process which was given to
him by the OIQS. Ben also obtained the award for; Academic
Proficiency in Construction Management presented from
the Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA).
Bens
credentials and affiliations include, but are not limited to;
Construction Safety Association, Ontario Safety Supervisor,
Training Specialist in Construction Health & Safety, Training
in Fall Protection.
Ben
is still known to frequent the odd dance hall where his finger
jive has everyone in awe; we think he may just be the next champ
on Dancing with the Stars
