The Bowie Contracting Management Team

Our Staff :

Larry Bowie, PQS, President, CEO.

Larry has over thirty years of experience running his own company in the exterior building restoration field serving the Greater Toronto and Golden Horseshoe area of Ontario. He is involved with all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the business.

His past industrial accomplishments include being a founding director of the Caulking Contractors Association of Ontario (CCAO) and held the presidency position twice. Larry was chairperson of numerous CCAO teams; most notably, the specification, warranty & maintenance committees. He contributed in the publication of CGSB 51-GP-42MP a "Handbook on Insulating Homes for Energy Conservation".

Larry currently is a registered "Professional Quantity Surveyor" in good standing with both the "Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors" and the "Ontario Institute of Quantity Surveyors". He is also a "Canadian General Standards Board Senior Estimator".

Larry continues to represent Bowie Contracting at many associations.

Craig Bowie, CEC, Vice President

Craig became an integral part of the team in the early 90's and has experience in all aspects of the business. He began working in the field operations apprenticing in every trade Bowie Contracting does. After working his way up to Project Supervisor, he was brought into the estimating department where his hands-on experience has proven invaluable. His duties include estimating, pricing, job costing, billing, scheduling of jobs and co-ordination.

He has completed the Construction Estimating program at George Brown College of Applied Arts & Technology obtaining his CEC.

Craig is currently on the board of directors with the “Building and Concrete Association (B&CRAO)” and a current board member with “Sealant and Waterproofing Association (SWAO)” and also a Past President of the SWAO. He is a past Director of the Ontario Institute of Quantity Surveyors.

Craig’s true passion is soccer and you can usually find him pacing the sidelines at his kid’s games or donning the cleats himself for one of his two competitive teams. Craig is also an avid fisherman and likes to tackle the water from boat, kayak or float tube. His proudest catch was a monster Musky caught in the Niagara River with his brother, Keith and good friend Bruno Aletto.

Keith Bowie, Project Principal, Vice President

Keith has accumulated over 25 years experience in building restoration covering every aspect of the building envelope. Starting as a young apprentice and learning from some of the best trades’ people this industry has ever seen, Keith quickly worked his way through the ranks and actively contributes to all levels of the company.

Keith sits on the ULC 716.2 committee which is: “Standard for Installation of Exterior Insulation & Finish Systems” as well as the; CSA Z271 committee which is the: “Safety Code for Suspended Platforms”. Keith also is on the technical committee for the EIFS Council of Canada as well as the Building & Concrete Restoration Associations’ Health & Safety Task Force.

When not at work, you’ll usually find Keith and his family at a motocross track where he still races competitively (with the broken bones to prove it), when not doing that you’ll likely find him on the water in his Bass boat hunting for the “big one”.

Kathy has over thirty years of experience handling all aspects of office administration. Her responsibilities include; weekly payroll, accounts receivable/ payable, banking, bookkeeping and is the company's liaison with the accountant, bank manager and government.

Ben is still known to frequent the odd dance hall where his finger jive has everyone in awe; we think he may just be the next champ on “Dancing with the Stars”

Jason Biagi, Estimator / Project Manager

Jason joined the Bowie team in January, 2010. Jason works very closely with Vice President Craig Bowie creating a unique synergy. When estimating Jason's pencil is sharp and don't think our competitors haven't noticed! Jason prides himself on the ability to make his projects run smooth, complete both on time and on budget.

Jason comes from a long line of builders and construction professionals. Jason started working in the field in his teens. From 1990 to Feb, 2010 Jason worked his way through the ranks of his father's company; Fairway Restoration, where he and his older brother, Anthony, learned the industry from the ground up. Both Jason's father Richard and brother Anthony have joined the Bowie team along with other key staff from Fairway Restoration. This union has broadened Bowie's capabilities, blending successful thinkers and complementary skills together.

After gaining a wealth of experience in the field Jason continued his academic education at George Brown College taking industry specific courses including the full suite of construction estimating. Whether its project management, planning and scheduling, cost management, or quality control Jason has the skill set in his tool box.

Jason is an avid kayaker and angler, his love of the outdoors is tempered by the life long passion for woodworking and mechanical model building.

Carolyn, Administrative Assistant

A good fit for the office environment is what Bowie Contracting found when they added Carolyn as the administrative assistant in May 2009. While her main responsibilities include weekly payroll, A/P entry and job costing reports, Kathy is always finding more ways to draw upon her over six years’ QuickBooks experience to assist with the daily administrative tasks. As a university and college graduate with over 15 years’ experience in various office settings, the Bowie team encourages Carolyn to find new and creative ways to use her capabilities to support management.

When not at home minding the “treehouse” with her husband, Joey, this active mother of two enjoys running, kettlebell workouts, yoga and reading.

Dave Irwin, Health & Safety

Dave joined Bowie in November, 2009. Previously, Dave performed various Health and Safety roles for companies like GM, Toyota, Lafarge NA, and Goodyear. Having worked in Health and Safety for more than 10 years now, Dave is well versed in all aspects of Health and Safety Management.
